Korea’s largest island, the self-governing province of Jeju was the host of ICLEI Korea office between 2006 and 2012. The new Korea office moved to the City of Suwon in August 2012.

Host of ICLEI Europe Secretariat, ICLEI Sustainable Procurement Center and Local Renewables Conference 2007 and 2011, Freiburg topped 72 other municipalities and won the German Capital of Climate Protection award in 2010 and the Most Sustainable Sustainability Award for local governments (large cities) in 2012.
