LAB - Australia

The primary aim of LAB-Australia is to build capacity for Australian Local Governments to improve biodiversity conservation and management through a cooperative national program focusing on local planning and national spatial biodiversity priorities, by strengthening working partnerships between NRM regions and local governments. The aim of the national program would be to catalyse the implementation of Australia’s Biodiversity Conservation Strategy, the National Wildlife Corridors Plan, and where applicable, the targets as outlined in both the Biodiversity Fund and the Caring for Our County program, respectively, at the local level.
