Milestone One

Assess existing neighbourhood based on the TN framework

Two methods:

a) FREE - Assess the neighbourhood based on a scale 1 to 100 of each of the TN framework elements, using an average of the total number of assessments for each element.

b) PROGRAM - Assess the neighbourhood based on the numbers within each element, as well as an average of the total number of assessments for each element. Provide this material to ICLEI for evaluation.

Output: assessment document

 

Milestone Two

Examine examples and develop scenarios for your neighbourhood

a) FREE – Examine the examples that are provided and work with neighbourhood members to develop scenarios for the neighbourhood over the short, medium and long-term.

b) PROGRAM – In a facilitated set of workshops, examine the examples that are provided and work with neighbourhood members and Local Government staff to develop scenarios for the neighbourhood over the short, medium and long-term.

Output: document of scenarios

 

Milestone Three

Prioritise projects into a plan:

a) FREE – Identify projects from the scenarios that are able to be implemented with existing or likely resources.

b) PROGRAM – In a facilitated set of workshops, identify projects from the scenarios that are able to be implemented with existing or likely resources.

Output: operations plan

 

Milestone Four

Implement projects:

a) FREE – Demonstrate implementation of neighbourhood projects.

b) PROGRAM – Demonstrate implementation of neighbourhood projects using indicators to validate success.

Output: document of projects and their outcomes

 

Milestone Five

Connect and network results and consider further projects:

a) FREE – upload documents and connect to other neighbourhoods and Local Governments

b) PROGRAM – upload documents, attend ICLEI events and connect to other neighbourhoods and Local Governments
